We have experience designing and constructing homes from 1,911 square feet to 11,500 square feet in a variety of architectural styles.
We can collaborate with you to customize one of our proprietary plans, to modify a plan you've purchased from a plan service or to produce a unique custom design starting with a clean sheet of paper.

Charles Ross Homes is an award-winning designer and builder of custom homes in the Williamsburg, Virginia area. Since 1983, we have been designing and building homes in Williamsburg neighborhoods including Ford's Colony, The Governor's Land at Two Rivers, Kingsmill, Yorkshire, Tettington Plantation, Greensprings Plantation, and Stonehouse.
We offer a unique combination of expertise in residential architecture, building science, and construction. Our approach is to partner with clients beginning in the design stage to produce a home that meets their lifestyle needs and respects their budget requirements.
Green Building
The idea of building "green" may be new to a lot of builders, but it's not new to us. We have been building homes that are durable, energy-efficient, and resource-efficient for most of our 25-year history. Whether you're interested in preserving natural features on your site, utilizing recycled materials, minimizing energy or water use or improving indoor air quality, we have the experience to help you realize your objectives.
We can design and build your home to meet the requirements of a number of "green" standards. As members of the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB), we promote NAHB's National Green Building Program™, the EPA Energy Star® Program, and the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED for Homes™ certification system.
